About the Job:

 

Corix Utilities has an immediate opportunity for a full time Dispatch Scheduler in our Langley Branch. The successful candidate will have proficient organizational and computer skills, be a self-starter, thrive in a multi-tasking environment and possess an innovative attitude and enjoy the challenge of working in a fast paced environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Dispatch Functions:

  • Develop and plan master production schedules and casting calendars taking into consideration available capacity, inventory levels, customer requirements, and the most effective installation order sequence;
  • Analyze, plan, and prioritize all installation routes available through MB Link;
  • Dispatch production schedules work orders and planned routes for Field Technicians;
  • Coordinate appointments with Call Center personnel on a regular basis;
  • Review actual production numbers versus forecasted numbers for each route assigned on a quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily basis providing written analysis of actual versus forecast production numbers along with recommendations for potential changes to future planning strategies;
  • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and work orders;
  • Generate district route reports and provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties. Use root cause analysis to change and revise production schedules based on this information as required;
  • Manage total daily quota of installations and service calls;
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings to ensure the execution of actual production against the project plan;
  • Ensure all data is appropriately entered into data systems in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate preference given to Post-secondary education;
  • Minimum 2 years general office administration experience;
  • Able to work at accelerated pace as required;
  • High level of efficiency with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Proven strong time management and exceptional organizational skills;
  • Superior computer skills using Windows and Office 2013;
  • Extensive experience using MS Excel;
  • Willingness to take on ad hoc assignments;
  • Ability to prioritize and balance competing interests;
  • Ability to read, write and speak English combined with an excellent command of English grammar, punctuation and spelling;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must;
  • Strong skills in handling multiple assignments, deadlines and high pressure situations;
  • Ability for flexible hours;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Successfully pass a Criminal Background check;
  • Strong Communication skills;
  • Solid multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change;
  • Work under pressure.
